About Us

Our two principal therapists, Rebecca Barrie and Jessica Sinclair, trained together at Regents College of Psychotherapy and Counselling, London where they completed a five-year clinical and academic programme.

As a practice, we believe strongly in the power of a safe and non-judgemental environment from which to think, talk and start to bear what may have felt unbearable; and that a quality of relationship between therapist and client is essential to effective work. As a result, we approach our work with empathy and intelligence.

Rebecca Barrie

For over fifteen years, Rebecca has practised as a psychotherapist, built upon experience working for the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, London Drug Agency and Women’s Trust. Her approach is based upon building a trusting relationship with clients and a belief in helping people find new agency through new understanding.

Rebecca attaches special importance to enabling clients to speak freely about their emotional lives and tackling the difficulties that they face.

She has exceptional experience working with addiction, abuse and depression, with anxiety, eating and other process disorders, and she has a special interest in sexual difficulties and trauma and post-natal depression.

Rebecca has developed her insight through private practice and specialist work with organisations such as Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London and the Doctorcall private GP practice.

She has worked extensively with actors at one of the world’s leading drama schools and for UK broadcaster Channel 4, supporting participants in reality television programmes.

Rebecca has an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy, a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and a Certificate in Psychosexual Studies from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. Rebecca is registered with the UKCP, the UK’s governing body of psychotherapists. She is accredited by AVIVA, PruHealth, AXA and Bupa Global.

Jessica Sinclair

Jessica has been a qualified and practicing psychotherapist for many years, both in the NHS and in private practice. Jessica’s core training in Integrative therapy allows her to approach each person as an individual, finding a pathway that works for them. This flexibility, putting the needs and the abilities of the client front and centre helps build a strong and trusting relationship, a top factor in achieving lasting therapeutic change.

Jessica’s practice also incorporates the latest neurobiological research in understanding how the mind works and why it builds and retains beliefs that are unhelpful and obstructive to a healthy way of living.

Jessica has found that clients who have an understanding of the purpose of the biological defences they have built, as well as why they have built them are better able to challenge them through compassion and kindness rather than self-recrimination and anger. Feelings of confusion and hopelessness are transformed into something that makes sense and feels more manageable.

Over the years Jessica has worked with many issues and a diverse range of amazing people and with each one she aims to help them find a clarity regarding their issues, a kindness towards themselves and a healthy balance in all areas of their life.
